After trying to sell a property on my own and having no luck I decided to seek out a professional. When I saw Karla was very active in the area I decided to give her a ring. From the start she was responsive and very knowledge. She advised me to list the property for a higher value than I had thought it was worth initially. I took her advice and she was right. We had a lot of interest in the property. She even advised me to turn down some very nice offers because she knew we could get a little more, a sign of a trustworthy broker who isn't just after a quick commission. I am also very picky about who negotiates on my behalf and I was never worried about Karla doing so. She has a pleasant demeanor but don't let it fool you, she is a sharp negotiator when you need it. Karla was really great in helping me find my (first) home. Some things I liked about Karla are: She’s very open and not pushy. Buying a home (especially for first-time home buyers) can be really stressful and I appreciated that she wasn’t trying to push me beyond my financial/time limitations. It was almost like having a friend who’s really knowledgeable, or like a friendly negotiator, by my side rather than an agent who’s trying to get this process over as possible so they can get their commission. She’s really knowledgeable on the Kearny/Harrison/East Newark area. She gives you delicious cookies.
